AAA: Exceptional quality stone with no visible imperfections or defects.
AA: Very good quality stone with some minor defects slightly visible.
A: Good quality stone with imperfections and visible defects.
AB: Medium quality stone with defects which can be very visible and detract from the beauty of the stone.
B: Stone of poor quality with defects either to be corrected or adopted.
C: Low - end stone for use other than jewelry .
