A pentacle is an amulet used in magical invocations, usually made of parchment, paper or metal, on which the symbol of the summoned spirit or entity is drawn.

It is often worn around the neck, or placed inside a summoning triangle. Protective symbols can also be added (sometimes on the back), one of the most common being the five-topped figure of the Seal of Solomon called a pentacle of Solomon or «pentangle of Solomon». -Wikipedia
